The 2024 vintage of Pazo Cilleiro Albariño is a typical pale gold colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, this wine is bursting with notes of freshly squeezed limes, lemon curd, nectarines and peaches. As it opens up, a fantastic mineral note of wet stones and flint are present with a hint of freshly-cut grass. In the mouth, it is dry, medium bodied and round with a zippy acidity that cleanses the palate, making this a perfect food wine. A delicate salinity lingers on the finish – you can taste the coast!

Pair this wine with seafood dishes like ceviche, shrimps, oysters or sushi (the slightly salty finish will work perfectly with anything from the sea). OR it could be a great partner for zesty chicken, paella, or Thai food. Avoid extra spicy foods though, as it will overpower the wine.

The region of Galicia, also known as “Green Spain”, is the northwestern corner of the country which is cradled by the Atlantic ocean. Even though this is a tough, cool, maritime climate, the vineyards here are capable of producing one of the world’s tastiest white wines!
